People like familiarity, why? It's comfortable. My first solo trip abroad I went to Australia because they speak English, have similar ways in life and it was a destination a lot of people around me have been too. After being there and ending up in Asia doing missions I fell in love with culture shock. Seeing a completely different way of life and experiencing it to the full taught me so much, and now I only want to explore the unfamiliar.
